What do you believe people need to think about when job hunting?
When searching for a job, it is essential to understand which skills are necessary in a particular industry, company and position and how your current skills match the requirements. Another thing to consider is corporate culture and way of working, as it is very difficult to grow professionally without joy at work.

To assess both dimensions, it is worth investing some time to attend corporate recruiting events, research available information on the internet and social media (e.g. interviews with executives). Moreover, we would recommend talking to people with similar positions at companies which are interesting for you, they can be a source of essential information as well, especially about requirements and day-to-day activities.
What skills are necessary to get a job at Kearney?
To get a job at Kearney, a candidate must possess outstanding analytical and communication capabilities. We work with a lot of client and market data, and analyze it in various tools to provide insightful recommendations for the client. The most common one is Excel, but more sophisticated tools can also be used depending on requirements.

The second essential task is to properly communicate our analysis results to the client. That means that our consultants at each level have to demonstrate strong communication skills in both written oral communication, persuade the client that our ideas can bring value for them.

What should a student start with?
A student striving for a job at consulting or at Kearney in particular should begin with a proper CV and cover letter to give us an idea why he or she wants to join us, which capabilities can help him or her in faster integration to our activities.

The next essential recommendation is to invest some time in the case interview preparation, for instance, simulating case interviews with other candidates looking for a consulting job.

Last but not least – it is worth searching for as much information as possible about the company's focus, value propositions, etc. to demonstrate your interest and maybe even passion during the interviews.
What internship programs do you have and how to join them?
We have 2 open entry-level positions all year round: Interns and Junior Business Analysts. We are now actively recruiting for these positions, so don't miss the chance to apply!

More information about positions, requirements and expectations can be found on our Job Board, where you can submit an online application any time of the year. What you would need to keep in mind is that we do not have seasonal internship programs: all our internships are long-term, so you may start an internship any time when you can work full-time.

Our interns have the potential to reach a full-time position during their time at Kearney. The company's intern and Junior Business Analysts career path is described here.
