What do you believe people need to think about when job hunting?
First, you should check the desired company's status and position in the industry. If you work in the industry leader company, you will have access to the latest technologies and best solutions.

Second, you need to pay attention to the company's background – especially financial health and continuous development. You need to be sure that you will get the competitive base salary and make the best investment in your future.

Another important factor what you need to check is the company's core values. They form its inner culture and work environment.

And last but not least, you should also pay attention to the opportunities for professional growth or making an impact. Usually international companies are good platforms for career development. Moreover, they offer the opportunity to engage in interesting tasks, international projects and innovations – so every employee has the opportunity to change the world.
What skills are necessary to get a job at Huawei?
Hard technical skills are crucial to us, because we focus on research and development. One of the most important ones is the skill of industry insight. Huawei RRI develops in very different directions, so technical experts need to see the development opportunities very clearly.

Requirements for technical knowledge also differ depending on the job direction. For some you will need to have good knowledge of Java, Python, C++, and for others – an understanding of neural networks, probability theory etc. More information about directions and required skills is on our website.

Consequently, an innovation approach is also the key quality for our R&D centers because it helps to achieve the results of research that can be realized in real technological products.

As for soft skills, the most valuable for RRI is an ability of strategical systematic thinking. Every employee can make a big impact with his contributions.

Taking into consideration that Huawei RRI is an international company, cross-culture skills will be very useful. Interpersonal connection skill will help you in communication with best experts of the industry and foreign colleagues.

Lastly, if you want to manage a team – leadership skill will be the key to your success.
